Zest Business Group is working in partnership with a global Automotive Supplier in order to recruit a Process Engineer. The role requires the individual to learn the technical aspects of the blow-moulding process to ensure process parameter control and to provide hands-on process support to production, correcting & analysing process problems. This position will be working under a rotating 3 shift operation.

Key responsibilities;
- To optimise the process for all new products and provide technical assistance to the Project Engineers in the introduction of new models.
- To modify parameters and tooling to improve quality and waste elimination. 
- To police and control all machine parameters, including all parameter records and history.
- To oversee tool change-over to ensure product quality, with responsibility for first off.
- To co-ordinate with the Team Leaders in the training of senior team members in performing technical tool change-over and other control aspects of the process.
- To provide technical assistance to production and quality in the permanent resolution of corrective actions.
- To perform structured improvements, utilising machine programming, material feeds or tooling improvements.
- To carry out work safely in the interests of other employees, in compliance with current legislation and Health & Safety procedures.

Qualifications / experience required;
- A relevant Engineering Qualification combined with significant experience working in an Engineering environment, preferably within the Automotive industry.
- An awareness of computers in manufacturing, and plastics processing would be a distinct advantage.
- Have experience of, or be in a process support role with a hands-on, practical minded approach.
- Have an appreciation of computer controlled machinery.
- Be organised to be able to cope with multiple tasks and priorities in a fast moving automotive environment and with a high commitment to quality (to QS/ISO 9000 standards).
- Be flexible to adapt to different business demands.
- Be analytical in approach to problem resolution.
- Have experience in tool setting & able to demonstrate an ability to work in a structured, methodical manner including keeping written and computerised records.
